International Day of Education - January 24

Today marks the first-ever International Day of Education! This day is meant to remind the world that inclusive, equitable, and quality education is a human right.

Worldwide, more than 265 million children are out of school, 22% of which are primary school age. This lack of access to education is a widespread problem— but it is solvable.

From Kenya to Colombia and India to Indiana, GlobalGiving partners are committed to educating the next generation—they're providing access to university-quality labs, awarding scholarships, offering free English classes, training quality teachers, improving access to books, and so much more.
