Italy Earthquake Relief

Hurricane Matthew, the most powerful storm to strike Haiti in 52 years, has claimed more than 1,000 lives, razed entire villages, and caused more than $1 billion in damage in one of the world’s poorest countries. And without access to clean water, many communities that I have visited are reporting deadly new cholera outbreaks.

Our vetted, locally driven partners are delivering the food, clean water, shelter, and medical care that storm survivors in Haiti and across the region so urgently need. Support them today with a donation to the Hurricane Matthew Relief Fund.

DONATE TODAY

In the week since the storm made landfall, we’ve heard from many of you who want to be sure that money donated to relief efforts in Haiti will reach those in need, given the stories arising from the 2010 Haiti earthquake. I understand, and I share your concern that your money is used well.

That’s why all nonprofits on GlobalGiving must pass our rigorous vetting and due diligence process to prove financial propriety and demonstrate social impact before they can join our community. It’s also why we focus on local changemakers. We have long-established relationships with more than 20 vetted organizations who have a track record of social impact in Haiti. I’ve seen their work first-hand.

We guarantee that your donation to the Hurricane Matthew Relief Fund (or any other disaster relief fund on GlobalGiving) will only support relief efforts for this disaster, and we’ll send you regular updates about your impact. We also guarantee you’ll be satisfied with your donation; if not, we’ll refund it so you can support another project.

Thank you, as always, for standing with those in need.
