GlobalGiving Gift Card Challenge

This Thanksgiving Eve we’re tripling the thankfulness factor by introducing our 2011 Gift Card Challenge!  Will you help us give more as you 'give thanks' this year? Here’s how:

1) You give a gift card.

You give a GlobalGiving gift card to a friend, colleague, or even the mailman this holiday season. Choose your favorite festive design, and we’ll ship each card for FREE! Our gift cards are 100% biodegradable (seriously - they’re made from corn!) and they’re available in e-card and print-at-home options, in case you want to make an inspiring last-minute addition to your Thanksgiving place-settings.

2) Your friend gives to her favorite project.

After the recipient recovers from the awe of your thoughtful gift, she is free to give to her favorite projects on our site. There are more than 1,500 projects to choose from (like this one!), and your friend can elect to receive email updates that show how the donation makes a difference!

3) GlobalGiving gives a bonus grant.

We'll take it from here! For every 500 gift cards purchased in our Gift Card Challenge we'll help make something amazing happen. After the first 500 gift cards sold, we'll send an AIDS orphan to school in KenyaAfter 1,000 cards we'll plant 800 trees in a Brazillian rainforest, then we'll buy a disabled child the wheelchair he needs, and the list keeps going. We'll give away up to $10,000 in bonus grants to our nonprofit partners this season just to thank you for giving the gift of giving. Click here to find out what project your gift card purchase will fund!

We hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving and a great start to the holiday season.

We're so grateful for you.
