We are deeply saddened to report that Rick McCue passed away on Saturday, 2/11/12, due to cardiac arrest. Rick was the rock of the Luxury & Lifestyle team, a loving family man, a great friend and an outstanding person. Throughout his cancer battle, Rick inspired all of us with his toughness and determination, as well as his absolute insistence on putting everyone else’s needs before his own.

With nearly 30 years of experience across all levels of the hospitality industry, Rick was a true professional who brought invaluable insight and leadership to his role as Vice President, Brand Innovation & Guest Experience. Rick made an indelible mark on this company throughout his tenure, which included key leadership positions in Hilton Worldwide’s Corporate Office in Memphis in addition to his role with the Luxury & Lifestyle Brands. His unparalleled experience, coupled with his quick wit and undeniable stage presence, made him a force to be reckoned with while his big heart and gentle nature made him an incredible supporter and motivator of those around him.   Far more than just a colleague, Rick was a mentor and friend to many during his career. A devoted family man, loving husband and doting father, he loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, Joyce, and his daughter, Lori.

We were blessed to have known Rick, worked with him and called him a friend, and he will continue to serve as inspiration to all of us. His contributions to each of us as individuals and to Hilton Worldwide as a whole will not be forgotten. We offer our deepest sympathies to Joyce and Lori during this difficult time.
