The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition has been transforming San Francisco streets and neighborhoods into more livable and safe places by promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation. We are one of the largest and most effective bicycle advocacy groups in the country. Through our day-to-day advocacy, education and working partnerships with City and community agencies, the SF Bicycle Coalition creates safer streets and more livable communities for all San Franciscans.
Our mission is to empower a global volunteer community to collect and develop the world's knowledge and to make it available to everyone for free, for any purpose. Projects include: Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikispecies, Wikinews, Wikiversity, Wikivoyage, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, MediaWiki, Meta-Wiki, Wikimedia Incubator, and Wikimedia Labs.
We work for the cyclists across the state who see bicycling as a solution for the traffic, health, and environmental challenges we face in our communities. We can't do it alone. MassBike depends on people like you to continue our work improving the safety of bicycling as a healthy and more sustainable means of transportation and recreation.
Create a fully equipped workshop space with professional bicycle repair tools and an active schedule of twice-monthly bicycle repair events in Santa Cruz. As with our program in Silicon Valley, repaired bicycles will be distributed through local non-profit social service organizations that serve underprivileged clients in the Santa Cruz area. The goal of this new chapter is to become financially self sufficient within about 18 months.
