Our Ambassadors

Our new GlobalGiving Ambassador program creates a network of ‘connectors’ who believe deeply that we all have the power to make a difference, at any level.  This group is made up of generosity ambassadors, individuals living generously in every aspect of their lives. There are many ways to ‘give’ and this team does this by sharing the vision and mission of GlobalGiving to their online community, building a vast web of positive action that can organically grow and flourish.

Alexis McClay

Alexis is Co-Founder of the contemporary lifestyle brand NAVEN where she leads all operations and KNA Developments, where she is Co-Creative Director alongside her identical twin sister Kym.  Her mission is to empower young women so that they may lead strong and independent lives where they possess the tools to follow their dreams and affect others in a positive way.  Alexis has demonstrated this passion through various donation programs to local women’s shelters, through collaborations with various women’s causes, and has been recognized by Women’s Forbes Summit and the Tribeca Disruptive Awards for her Naven design collaborations with THINX.   Alexis believes that even the smaller things such as using her notoriety as a Designer in the apparel industry to set a positive example, supporting the empowerment of fellow females instead of allowing competition, can make a difference in how young women treat each other.   She is inspired not only by global aids but by everyday acts of kindness and is a believer that social change can start by simply treating each other with more compassion daily.

Ashley Longshore

Ashley Longshore joined Global Giving as an ambassador in the Spring of 2014. An artist with an international following and collaborations with major corporations like Anthropologie and Chloe under her belt, she has never shied away from donating her time and art to give back to those in need. "Giving and helping is the truest and most perfect part of being a human, says Ashley, the joy and good energy spread is contagious... Its hard to really put into words how giving makes me feel... I could probably represent it better with a high loud pitched squeal followed by jazz hands and a few high kicks... Its an energy that feels so right.. No one makes it in this world alone... we all know what it is like to have help and to receive from others.." When not traveling the world for creative inspiration, Ashley can be found spending her days in her New Orleans studio creating art and furniture that can only be described as pure happiness for her impressive list of collectors.  Ashley and her work have been featured in the pages of Vogue, Town and Country, The Hollywood Reporter and more but to her nothing can compare to the joy felt giving back to others, "To give back into the world is a FANTASTIC BEAUTIFUL feeling... It is pure love and bliss,"

I believe it's important to give because we are all a part of something bigger than just ourselves. Giving is one way to stay connected to others and it's a really great way to share a part of ourselves with people we may not know.

Interesting fact: I am actually not a very happy person naturally:) But after studying what makes us happier I've learned to dramatically shift my perspective, which is what led me to create Happier and help millions of other people to do it.
