Nat Danai is just one of our success stories. It's difficult to keep boys in school as they have few role models. Natdanai came to Warm Heart after his parents, subsistence farmers in a hill tribe village, were divorced. His father left and his mother needed a safe place to leave the children to make a living. Natdanai nearly dropped out after 9th grade, but was convinced to apply for a sports scholarship at a vocational high school in Chiang Mai. He studied tourism and thrived and started to plan his future. Natdanai’s dream is to find steady work that will let him travel and see the world. We asked for your help in sending Natdanai to Cruise School and he was able to start in August. It’s a 6-9-month program with two months in the classroom and then internships at resort hotels. After the internship, the school will coach him in applying for positions on the cruise lines. He is now on an internship at a beautiful resort in Phuket. We visited him recently; he is happy, supporting himself, and his English in improving rapidly. Current plan is to stay at the internship until he needs to go for military service in the spring. Once that is done, he can apply for the cruise ship and will be on his way!Our Year End Appeal to invest in our Higher Education program is the final step towards changing lives forever. We appreciate any support you can give to cover immediate costs and help grow our Higher Education Fund for the next group of high achievers looking for High Education opportunities.
