"Defend the poor and the fatherless"(Psalms82) Rescue the poor is a registered non-political, non-profit and Christian based organization founded in February 2012.with its headquarters at Kakiri, Gayaza. We work with good Samaritans both locally and internationally to reach our goals of reaching out to the needy people, targeting mostly those who can not access the basic needs of life like; food, shelter, clean water, and education and even to those who never got a chance of hearing the good news of God. This is Christ centered organization indeed, the inspiration came from the scriptures, “Give ear to the cause of the poor and fatherless, that those who are troubled and in need have their rights………………’’Psalms 82:3-4 RESCUE THE POOR VISION To be Christ centered ministry, which will aim at continuously rescuing the poor from the troubles of their lives that have hindered them from accessing the basic needs of life and help them through Christ to be saved for the best eternal life ahead of us because the bible says the kingdom of the lord is theirs. RESCUE THE POOR MISSION STATEMENT. To proclaim the goodness and kindness as required of us by the lord, by demonstrating God’s love and mercy for the poor and like Christians fulfill God’s mission of redemption that he started by sending unto the world his son Jesus who was born us the poor sinners. OBJECTIVES OF RESCUE THE POOR To proclaim good news to destitute, show the how important they are remind them how the kingdom of the lord was prepared for them. Help them see improvement in their standards of living and have them the children fixed in Christian schools. Bring together the indigent members to provide a common forum to the indigent persons to deliberate on matters concerning their welfare. Mobilize financial and non-financial support both locally and internationally through local media and internet respectively. Meet deliberate and formulate plans and measures suitable and appropriate to advance the betterment and progress of the indigent people. Remove the indigent children from the streets and resettle them in a half way home to help the gain mental and moral hygiene.
