I will be traveling to Santa Maria de Jesus, a Mayan village in Guatemala. I will meet with the villagers to discuss breast health and nutrition as well as building a stove with flue over two days for a Mayan family. Presently, the women cook over open fires resulting in respiratory problems for them and their children. The newly build stoves will last 20 years or more, use less fuel and lessen deforestation. To learn more please "google" Guatemalan stove building on the web.
