Northern Uganda 2 decades conflict increased behavioural and socioeconomic problems worst of all HIV and AIDS. Mother to child transmission (MTCT) is the commonest cause in children below the age of 5 years which occurs during pregnancy, delivery and breastfeeding, up to 45% of HIV positive. HIV prevalence in specific Gulu district is at 12%, the latest data indicate that HIV+ prevalence among pregnant women is rising again leaving community structures over-stressed and unable to adequately cope
