Kabwe, home to 300,000 people, is Africa's most polluted city and is ranked as the world's fourth most polluted city. The 92 years (1902 - 1994) of unregulated mining activities in Kabwe have left human lives at risk of numerous diseases due to lead poisoning and a contaminated environment. OneWorld Africa plans to set up an information centre to educate children and young adults on the dangers of the poisonous lead deposits left by the former mines in the city. We count on your support!
