With your incredibly generous support we have seen amazing progress in the lives of children in Saint Martins School; an oasis of learning, nourishment and safety for over 700 ambitious, eager children surrounded by extremely difficult conditions of Kibagare Slum.
However, on August 5th past, disaster struck. A fire ripped through the secondary school dormitory. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but the secondary students no longer have a place to stay while at the school.
As equally devastating, newly installed solar panels that power the bore hole that supplies clean and safe water for the students and staff were completely destroyed. This has a knock-on effect of exponentially driving up costs which make running the school virtually impossible.
We know you have been so supportive so far. But we have one more request.
Can you assist us in replacing the solar panels so the school can get back to doing what they do best: changing the lives of children in Kibagare.
As always, we can't thank you enough for your support.
