The Effectiveness Dashboard is a tool that helps our partners practice one of GlobalGiving’s core values: Listen, Act, Learn, Repeat. We created the Effectiveness Dashboard as a feature that helps you keep track of how you listen to your peers, work with your donors, and collaborate with GlobalGiving to create impact on the ground! We give out points when you complete a task and suggest steps you could take to continue to hone your skills in fundraising and other areas of your organization’s work.
From your organization’s dashboard, click on Listen, Act, or Learn. If you click on the different rankings, the percentile, or “view details,” you will be lead to your organization’s Effectiveness Dashboard page.
There are three rankings on the Effectiveness Dashboard – Listen, Act, and Learn. Each of these rankings has a separate section where you are awarded points for certain tasks you have completed.
Listen: Challenges your organizations to collect feedback from stakeholders. GlobalGiving measures instances when your organization shares best practices, gathers feedback you’re your constituents on the quality of your services, and engages with supporters.
Act: Challenges you to test and act on ideas or feedback that you hear from stakeholders. GlobalGiving notes the responsiveness of your organization to new information that helps you improve the impact of your work.
Learn: Challenges your organization to take advantage of opportunities to learn. GlobalGiving records how your organization responds to data and results from their experimentation.
The Effectiveness Dashboard is a work in progress and we’d love to do some Listening, Acting, and Learning ourselves by urging you to share your thoughts and feedback on what’s working with this feature and what we can do to improve it! As you demonstrate your progress towards effectiveness, we want to provide you with the kind of exposure to assure the whole world knows it, so that your fundraising can increase as you demonstrate your effectiveness – this is why we are planning to incorporate the Effectiveness Dashboard into your Partner Rewards soon. We will give you plenty of warning before this change goes into effect – and welcome any feedback at that time.
