Terms & Conditions

• The GlobalGiving Girl Fund Bonus Day runs from  00:00 to 23:59 EST on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2018. This campaign is exclusively for projects participating in  the GlobalGiving Girl Fund Campaign.
• There is $8,000 USD in matching funds available and $2,000 in bonus prizes available.
• GlobalGiving will be matching donations at 30% up to $250 USD per individual donor per project, while funds last or until the Bonus Day ends. For example: a donation of $250 USD will receive a $75 USD match.
• Bonus Prizes: At the end of the bonus day, the top four projects with the most funds raised will receive bonus prizes of $800, $600, $400, and $200.
• In the event that there is a tie for one of the top funds raised prizes, the project with the most unique donors during the campaign will get priority.
• This Bonus Day is eligible for GlobalGiving’s Record Breaker Challenge.

Donation Eligibility

• Only donations up to $250 USD per unique donor per project will be matched. Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. If a donor gives prior to bonus day and on bonus day they will count as a unique donor on both leaderboards.
• unique  donors for the bonus day will count towards a match (while funds last), however they will only be counted once as a unique donor for the whole Girl Fund Campaign.
• Only online donations made by credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay are eligible for matching. Donations made by check, text-to-give, or gift card are not eligible.
• Online donations made using PayPal, Apple Pay, or credit card must be made by the account or credit card holder.
• Donations made on GlobalGiving corporate sites or organizational-level giving are not eligible for matching.
• GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the allocation of matching funds.
• Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.
• Matching funds will be disbursed the month following the end of the bonus day to allow time for fraud and gaming review.

Tax Efficient Giving & Fees

• GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
• GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations the nonprofit support fee is 5%; for organizations outside the US and UK, it is 7%. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors. The fee does not apply to matching funds or bonus prizes.
