Final winners will be announced on Friday, March 30th, 2018.
Organizations must submit their Expression of Interest form by February 23rd, 2018, and be approved by GlobalGiving prior to the start of the challenge.

Active partner, leader, and superstar organizations on GlobalGiving are eligible to participate in the campaign.
Microprojects are not eligible to participate in the campaign.
Emerging organizations (Accelerator participants) are not eligible to participate in this campaign.
Eligible projects must directly aim to empower women and girls in their mission and must be classified under "Women and Girls" theme. GlobalGiving maintains final authority on project eligibility in this campaign.
In the event that there’s a tie for most unique donors, ranking will be determined by most funds raised during the campaign.
GlobalGiving will get back with every eligible project and confirm their participation in the campaign by February 27th. Projects not contacted by February 27th will not be included in the campaign.
If you are not sure if your project is eligible, please contact for guidance.
Effectiveness Cycle Submissions
GG Rewards is the system that GlobalGiving uses to recognize and reward partners for their efforts to learn, improve, and grow their impact. GG Rewards Effectiveness Cycles reflect our core value of listening, acting, learning, and repeating and rewards organizations that demonstrate these values. Create-Your-Own Effectiveness Cycles offer organizations the space to share their own stories of listening, acting, and learning.
Only Effectiveness cycles that have been submitted to organizations with approved projects and who have at least 10 donors in the crowdfunding campaign portion to be considered for one of the two effectiveness slots.
Cycle Criteria. After the crowdfunding campaign ends, selection of the two remaining spots in the GlobalGiving Girl Fund will be based upon one submitted Create-Your-Own effectiveness cycles that include:
(1) Listening: listening to the people you intend to help, to your peers, or other stakeholders to identify a need or challenge in your community
(2) Acting: using feedback from participants and/or the local community to implement a solution and gather data
(3) Learning and repeating: analyzing the data to understand your results and determine next steps
Submitting a Create-Your-Own effectiveness cycle is not required but is highly encouraged to maximize your project’s chance of securing a 2018 spot in the Girl Fund.

GlobalGiving believes every girl deserves a chance to realize her full potential. Not just because she deserves to thrive, but because when she succeeds so does her family, her friends, her community, and the world. Today, in too many moments, in too many parts of the world, there aren't opportunities for women and girls to learn, contribute, and thrive. But we have good news- our nonprofits partners are the best in the business at helping women and girls do just that- thrive.
That's why we started the GlobalGiving Girl Fund. So we could provide ongoing support to projects that are dedicated to increasing opportunities and improving lives for women and girls around the world. And then, there is you. This invaluable support is fueled by millions of individuals just like you that believe in the same undeniable truth. That every girl deserves a chance to realize her full potential. Let's get to work!
The GlobalGiving Girl Fund Campaign is an opportunity for projects dedicated to women and girls to gain support and funding and to compete for a chance to earn a spot in the GlobalGiving Girl Fund for all of 2018. The two-week campaign will run from March 1, 2018 - March 15, 2018 with a matching day on March 8, 2018 to celebrate International Women's Day. In the end, six spots in the Girl Fund will be awarded to the four projects who mobilized the most donors in the campaign and the two projects who best demonstrated the best quality of work, as determined by their peers.
