We're building a dome!

Our dream!
Our dream!

Altos de Cazuca, in Soacha, is a community of high level vulnerability, particularly given that is one of the areas which received the most displaced people due to the armed conflict.  Marginalisation and exclusion has characterized its population, contributing to the lack of opportunities that affect children and young people in particularly, by prematurely living with poverty and violence as their reality. Today, 22% of arts and sports practice are cancelled due to weather and violence.

By providing the community of Altos de Cazuca with the construction of a dome,  we will allow more than 1500 children to practice sports and arts away from the violence of gangs, away from natural risks, and away from the dangerous of a community that is recognized as one of the most violent in the suburbs of the capital city in Bogota.

For the next month, we're inviting donors to comit with building a safe place for children in need. Clik on this link and help us build a dome - a polygonal closed building shaped as a sphere - where all sports and arts activities will be able to take place no matter weather or community threads, enabling 1500 children develop Like Skills in a safe and positive environment. The best part? The structure looks like a football!

Thank you in advance for your continuous committment AND GO TELL FRIENDS TO JOIN!

Much love,

Professional football player Juan Mata chose us!

"Football is the strongest force that we have to bring people from the same and also different societies together because it already has such a strong following" - Juan Mata, midfielder for Manchester United FC.

With more than three billion fans, football is the largest social phenomenon on the planet. No other sport boasts such wealth. Or such reach. Or such cultural significance. The beautiful game is in a league of its own.

A few years back, Jürgen Griesbeck, founder of international network streetfootballworld, dared the world of football for peace: Imagine uniting the world of football behind a shared social vision. Imagine the impact we could create and the lives we could change. A few years later, his dreamed came true with the launch of Common Goal.

Common Goal is a charitable movement uniting the world of footballers behind the shared commitment to give back. The idea is simple. Players pledge a minimun of 1% of their wages to a collective fund. Juan Mata, midfielder for Manchester United, has been the first footballer to pledge his 1% and is calling for other players to do the same. Today, there are more than 40 players joining the movement!

We are proud to say that Juan Mata has chosen Fundación Tiempo de Juego as one of his top charities to donate his pledge. With him, we will be able to strenghten our programs that are working towards an equal treat to women in football, and better opportunities for girls to succeed in life no matter what their dream is.

"Common Goal has kick-started an unstoppable movement from within the industry, through the players. Unstoppable, if we all together make it work. This is history in the making and we all have an active role to play. Your organisation is among the first cohort of Common Goal beneficiaries that will show the world how football can advance the Global Goals. You and your organisation will be the showcase and reference for everything that will follow." - Jürgen Griesbcke - Founder streetfootballworld

But Juan is not the only one supporting our organization. YOU have made a difference in the lives of children as well. Thank you for your continuous support. Without you, we would have never reched the high impact we have today on more than 5.000 children through arts and sports.

Thank you for being our greatest fan!

With love,

Your friends from Fundación Tiempo de Juego
