The BSSF was established on the initiative of famous Belarusian athletes and sports officials to protect rights of athletes against discrimination and promote human rights, freedom and democratic values through sport. The BSSF provides financial, organizational and legal support to athletes and sports specialists who suffered for openly expressing their civic stance.
