Your donations have helped us in preparing the safe house to take in rescued children. The -----opening of the safe house did not however take place in October 2012 as was earlier planned .However, this was possible in the second week of December..... We'll update you on the progress of the safe house in the next report.
To boost the operations of the safe house, The Department of Children Services has posted two staff – the House Mother and a cook. They will work hand in hand with the Helpline staff in attending to the needs of children rescued from abuse.
The safe house will admit girls between age 7-18 and boys 7-14 years and offer temporary shelter for a maximum period of three months then reintegrated back to the family/community. The criteria of admission is:
Sexual abused children
physical abused children
We ask you to continue supporting this project in this year - 2013 and help us rescue and protect children are suffering unimaginable torture caused by those who are supposed to protect and provide for him or her.
