Help A Retired Race Horse Become A Therapy Horse!

The Excelsior Thoroughbred Advancement Program strives to bring awareness to the "War Horse", or the older Thoroughbred who shows promise for therapy work. These horses are at the greatest risk of being shipped to slaughter, yet many have the personality, training, and kind inquisitive nature that is perfectly suited for Learning or Psychotherapy work. We will pair suitable clients with the horses to provide their day to day care, which assists in the clients own learning and therapy progress. project reportread updates from the field
