You helped Nicole & Caden!

Nicole and her husband had been living in Mexico for two years. Nicole came back to the USA to visit her parents with her son Caden in September and called us. Nicole had suffered so much abuse from her husband in Mexico and did not want to go back. This was her chance to escape him forever. She was terrified her husband would come after her and file a Hague Petition.

We were able to get a free legal consulation for Nicole. The attorney felt Nicole would not have an issue facing a Hague petition due to her specific circumstances. Because of donations like yours, we were able to help Nicole get into housing for women fleeing domestic violence, paid her first two months rent and one month of child care for Caden while Nicole looks for a job.

We can't thank you enough for helping vulnerable American women and their children in foreign countries! The AODVC Team

Katie is safe at home because of you!

Katie met her partner while teaching English in Egypt. Katie thought the first few months of the relationship were wonderful. Then her partner started becoming critical, questioning Katie when she would spend time with female friends and started showing up at her work unannounced.

Once evening her partner began screaming at her and accusing her of cheating. Katie did her best to assure her partner that she wasn't. But it didn't help. When Katie tried to break up with her, she became violent and started throwing things at Katie. She threaten to "out" her. Katie needed to come home for her own safety.

Because of donations like yours, we were able to get Katie home within two weeks of her contacting us. She was sad to leave her job in Egypt but she is also relieved to be safe.

Thank you so much for helping us help vulnerable Americans in the LGBTQ population in foreign countries. The AODVC Team

You helped save Trinity!

Anna first called us in August. She had been in Ecuador for two years working for an NGO. Anna and her Border Collie, Trinity, were experiencing abuse by her boyfriend in Ecuador. It was mostly verbal abuse, but then he pushed Anna against a wall and threatened to hit her. When Trinity tried to protect Anna her boyfriend kicked Trinity and then lock her in a room without food and water. That was the final straw for Anna.

Anna had the funds to be able to come home to the USA but not the vet certificate and costs to bring Trinity home. Thanks to donations like yours, Trinity and Anna are home safe and sound and living with Anna's parents.

Here is part of an email from Anna: "You ladies are amazing! I didn't know how I was going to get out of Ecuador with Trinity. You made it possible! I can thank you enough!"

We want to thank you for helping us help victims like Anna & Trinity! The AODVC Team
