November, 2018

Since August, we've remained focused on expanding and improving our capabilities to respond here at home, as well helping other communities become more prepared. Since our last report, we've:

  • Deployed two teams, one to Hilo, HI and one to Lumberton, NC;
  • Brought personal and community preparedness training to dozens of citizens of the PNW region;
  • Begun training a brand new disaster search canine, Libby;
  • Trained 6 of our canine handlers and several of our medical providers in canine emergency medical care;
  • Adopted and initiated a water/flood rescue program;
  • Begun discussing 2 new community preparedness and response programs.

In the coming months, we'll be continuing our push for disaster preparedness and rescuer training by:

  • Purchasing a new response vehicle;
  • Developing our incident command course;
  • Developing three exciting new rescue courses and two medical courses.

All of this is possible because of your contributions! We couldn't be more grateful.  Thank you for your ongoing support!
