AMDA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to realize peaceful world community through humanitarian efforts in medical healthcare sector. AMDA was founded in 1984 in Okayama City, Japan. With its international network of 30 chapters, AMDA has worked in more than 50 countries collaborating with organizations including governments, UN agencies and other institutions. AMDA is in general consultative status with United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2006.

Updates on Support High School Students in Tohoku

Dear Global Giving Supporters,


AMDA has been supporting high school students in Tohoku Region of Japan that had received a massive destruction from the earthquake and tsunami of March 11th, 2011. We would like to thank all the donors and supporters all over the world who have shown their compassion and given support by sending donation through Global Giving. The Scholorship receivers are aiming at becoming medical professions in the future. Your great supports to them truly help them get closer to achieve their goals.

Updates on Support high school students in Tohoku

Dear Global Giving Supporters,

 

AMDA has been supporting the high school students living in Tohoku Region, where the number of lives has been impacted by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on 11 March 2011. AMDA has provided the scholarship to 281 students in the past 4 years. As the new Japanese fiscal year started in April 2015, we added 8 news scholarship students to our program. We received a letter of appreciation from one of our scholarship students. Please see the attached progress report.

Report on "Support high school students in Tohoku"

Dear Global Giving Supporters,

 

AMDA has been supporting the high school students living in Tohoku region, where the number of lives has been impacted by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on 11 March 2011. AMDA has provided the scholarship to 281 students in the past 4 years. As it has been four year since the disaster occurred, we hope some of our scholarship students finally become medical professionals in this year after their studying at professional school for three years.
