Its mission is the protection of the environment, taking into account the earth as the basis of all production, vegetation as the source of life and finally, man as the beneficiary of creation. Its motto: A healthy man in a healthy environment. Its objective is to fight against the degradation of land and forests ravaged since 1994 by thousands of Rwandan refugees who have entered the Kivu province in thousands. By repetitive wars from 1996 until 2017, as well as by the uncontrolled exploitation of precious woods and minerals. Convinced that the rehabilitation of the environment, of the agricultural land and of mankind is an effective way to fight against poverty, the organization has already carried out several projects to support farmers and stockbreeders in the region, which is why even the Governor of the province has given it a letter of authorization to operate. Action le vert intervenes in four areas: 1. The protection of the environment, through the reforestation of bare hills, the integration of agroforestry trees in the fields of food crops, the improvement of ecological agriculture and the restoration of degraded lands. 2. Education: This concerns disadvantaged children created by wars and poverty, but also by the abandonment of education by the Congolese state. In this area, Action le Vert has set up a project to build schools to help children in degrading situations. Orphans, children from poor families, children searching for armed groups, underage girls victims of prostitution, children doing heavy work, all concern our attention to have the right to education. 3. The protection of the rights of rural women and girls: Victims of rape and violence, considered as objects, and used as weapons of war in our province. By accompanying women farmers in rural areas, we defend their rights and fight against discrimination perpetuated by negative customs and traditions against women. 4. Health: The Democratic Republic of Congo remains the site of the multiplication of various infectious diseases, malaria, tuberculosis, cholera, HIV/AIDS, Ebola and others that no longer exist elsewhere. Due to the lack of medical infrastructure, the isolation of roads, wars, the Congolese population dies every minute without any care. Because of the lack of medical accompaniment, Action le vert limits itself to activities of sensitization of the mass for the prevention of diseases. We distribute impregnated mosquito nets and condoms in areas where the population is concentrated (mining sites). Our concern is to go a little far in caring for the sick, but medicines are lacking.
