Our research and implementation transcends borders and has compelled us to find solutions to the recent public health emergency and to address the needs of our most vulnerable communities at home and abroad. The current COVID-19 pandemic provides an opportunity to build laboratory infrastructure for SARS-CoV-2 testing which can also be used for other types of testing including HPV. This infrastructure is critical to cervical cancer elimination.
