Dear Friends,

We would like to share with you a few photos that show some of this year’s activities. None of this would have been possible without your support. Please consider becoming a recurrent donor to this project and mentioning us to your friends and family. Every one of your generous donations helps us improve the living conditions of some of the most vulnerable segments of the population in Mexico.

We will begin 2020 with renewed efforts to bring sustainable technologies that improve the lives of rural families in Mexico. Please join us on this journey.

Wishing you a happy holiday season,

Francisco Ehrenberg

November update

2019 bison roundup
2019 bison roundup

Dear friends,

The annual roundup of our bison herd started on November 6 and lasted for almost one week. Our team of experts successfully provided veterinary checkups to 216 animals. This was a truly collaborative event, with over 25 local community members participating in the evaluation of the herd´s health.

In the coming days, together with partners from the private sector, we will create the second bison conservation herd in the country—19 bison from the original herd will be relocated to a private conservation reserve in the state of Coahuila. More info on this effort to bring the American bison back to its former distribution coming soon!

In other news, on November 16 our golden eagle conservation team participated in the 7th Native Corn Fair that took place in the Sierra Gorda of Guanajuato Biosphere Reserve. This was a great opportunity for our team to display our biological monitoring efforts in the region among the local communities.

Please consider renewing your support for this project, every one of your donations is critical to our conservation efforts.

Sincerely,

Francisco Ehrenberg

November update

Dear friends,

The 2019-2020 golden eagle reproductive season is coming to a start. As we speak, the eagles are busy building and repairing their nests across Mexico, in preparation for the eggs they will lay early next year.

During the coming months, fieldwork will focus on finding potentially active nests—a grueling task that a group of conservation heroes carries out each year in the last remaining golden eagle territories of Mexico.

We hope that this season is a productive one and that with your help, we will be able to secure the future of this extraordinary species.

Your support is paramount for the continuation of our work. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and please consider renewing your contribution to the project.

Kind regards,

Francisco
