We specialise in supporting the survival and growth of local community organisations who are using Sport for Development to engage young people in their activities. Our network extends to over 2,500 sport clubs, youth groups and small charities - all use the power of sport and physical activity to prevent and counter the most pressing societal issues impacting young people today - youth violence, exclusion, gender and race inequality, and wellbeing, to name but a few. Despite their impact and importance, austerity and public spending cuts have left the future of many community groups hanging in the balance. At Sported we protect these groups and build their capacity to help even more young people in their community. We do this by providing free support services and matching the group leaders with skilled volunteers to improve their working knowledge and expertise in the key operational areas vital to securing funding, becoming sustainable, and attracting new participants. We help community groups survive, so young people can thrive.
