The MARSOC Foundation d/b/a Marine Raider Foundation serves World War II Marine Raiders and Marine Corps Forces Special Operations (MARSOC) Raiders and their families, with a focus on enhancing personal, professional and family resiliency, and filling needs unmet by the government and other organizations. The Foundation's four mission programs are: Raider Support, which includes funding events that promote personal and professional resiliency, funding awards and ceremonies hosted by MARSOC HQ, One-Time Transition Assistance Grants for Raiders separating from military service, and providing a mentor network for MARSOC Raiders; Family Resiliency, which includes funding events that promote family resiliency, funding out-of-pocket expenses associated with a Raider family member becoming ill or injured, and advocacy for Raider families enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program; Raider Legacy Preservation, which includes funding for events commemorating WWII Marine Raiders and events that bring together WWII Marine Raiders and MARSOC Raiders, and funding for legacy projects; and Tragedy Assistance and Survivor Support, which includes funding for out-of-pocket expenses associated with a Raider being wounded, ill or injured, funding for projects and events that honor the 45 Marines and Sailors who gave their lives in service to our Nation during combat and training operations, hosting and funding events that keep the families of the 45 Marines and Sailors who made the ultimate sacrifice connected with one another and their extended Raider family/community, and funding for travel to commemorative/memorial services celebrating the service and sacrifice of fallen Raiders (travel assistance is extended to active-duty Raiders and the Raider's family members). Since 2012, the Marine Raider Foundation, thanks to its generous donors, has provided over $4.3 million in support to Raiders and their families.
