After "graduating" virtually this spring, our students have begun summer break. Our teachers and staff had been working around the clock to come up with creative solutions to provide continued access to classes to students, especially those living in remote areas with no internet access.
In other exciting news, BPP has just completed our annual Spring Campaign, Create With BPP, meeting our initial fundraising goal to sponsor 20 new students! Still, we are hoping to use the next few weeks (including GlobalGiving's Bonus Day on 7/15) to raise an additional $5,000 in order to be able to bring our teachers back to school in the fall, whether that's in person or virtually. The additional burdens posed by COVID have put a strain on BPP, but we are committed and proud to say that we will continue offering educational opportunities to our students.

During the last days of 2019 and early 2020, we set out to raise money to sponsor five students' enrollment at BPP for the 2020 academic year. With the help of many generous donors, we were able to reach this goal! Because of this and additional fundraising, 19 students will have their enrollment fully sponsored this year.
Classes began again in early February at our school in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and late February at our Nicaraguan schools in Escamequita and San Juan del Sur. We were able to welcome 53 new students this semester. We have 212 students attending school with BPP so many students are still awaiting sponsorship and we will continue to fundraise for them! Check out BPP on social media to see pictures of the students in action at any of our schools.
