Laura registered in college!

Laura registers for college
Laura registers for college

Hello friends of Laura,

We want to share some good news with you. Laura registered for college last week, and she starts her classes today.

Thank you for all the support you give her. She couldn't have made it without it.

I am sending you a video where she explains what she discovered in her latest training with IBREA. We spent 5 days in the mountains in El Salvador, in a beautiful natural setting, with many participants of our program from around the country. Laura integrated so well and worked closely with school principals, doctors, psychologists. She demonstrated great maturity, generosity and honnesty in the group. She also assisted the trainers and helped to take care of some of the participants having physical challenges. She had the opportunity to share her story publicly in the group and inspired everyone to believe in themselves, grow and create the lives they dream of.

Please keep supporting her, and through her, many other young people in similar situations in El Salvador as well as other countries.

Thank you so much!

Conference at the UN on Holistic Education to Empower Women and Girls globally

IBREA held a conference at the UN on January 12th, co-hosted by the Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the UN. The Missions of El Salvador and Liberia co-hosted the event. It was a rich and fruitful conference where many country representatives (including the US, Colombia, Turkey, Sweden, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, El Salvador, Liberia, Korea) and NGO delegates, as well as representatives of UN Women and UNICEF came together to discuss about the potential of IBREA's approach and program to help advance to the UN agenda for women and girls' empowerment. The event was opened by the current president of the UN ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), followed by the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Mission of Sierra Leone and the Chair of the UN Committee on Mental Health.

We presented our concept and our progress in different countries. We heard impactful testimonies from Liberia, Sierra Leone and El Salvador. Participants acknowledged the value of brain-based holistic education as a powerful tool to help women gain self-confidence and trust in themselves, and raise awareness of both men and women about our similiarities and shared goals, beyond our differences.

IBREA is now planning its next steps in Sierra Leone, together with the UN Mission of Sierra Leone.

Thank you for supporting this important initiative. We will share good news from the field soon!

Testimony from the English teacher in Sarapiqui

Students with their English teacher

Teachers in Sarapiqui keep practicing and using the IBREA program to create more harmony and productivity in their small community. This rural area is composed of 12 families only. Isolated from the realities of the metropolitan areas and having limited resources, IBREA's program is helping them increase their confidence and motivation and work better as a group to create a bright future for themselves and the community as a whole.

Here is the testimony of the English teacher in the Middle School where we are delivering the program.

We encourage you to make your tax-deductable gift today to help develop a societal model for harmonious living in this rural community - a model which can be replicated in any other setting.

Thank you always for your support!
