Help children in El Salvador overcome trauma
IBREA will bring Brain Education (BE) to 180 schools in San Salvador, El Salvador. The project follows the success of a 6-month pilot experience covering 4 schools in areas characterized by high levels of violence and drug abuse, followed. Seeing the results in children's behavior, stress management, academic performance and a more peaceful culture, the Ministry of Education has decided to support the expansion of BE in the country, with the view of integrating it in the school curriculum project reportread updates from the field
Send Laura to college
Do you remember Laura? Her story touched many people's hearts. In 2011, Laura was one of our students when we implemented brain education in El Salvador for the first time. Her changes were transformational and she made her mind to create a better life for herself and her child. Now she wants to go to college. There are many Lauras in El Salvador and in other countries. Let's help one girl who can be a model for many others because of her determination and will to overcome her limitations. project reportread updates from the field
Youth Mental Wellbeing Conference at the UN
This August IBREA Foundation is hosting a conference on Youth Mental Wellbeing at the United Nations. We have carefully selected 4 exemplary students from our brain education programs that we feel would benefit most from attending this event. With your contributions we will be able to fund the transportation expenses for these worthy children from El Salvador, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. This is an incredible opportunity for these students to travel and discover their unlimited potential.
Women Empowerment in Sierra Leone
IBREA will work with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children Affairs to provide our brain-based holistic education training to selected groups of women as well as to social workers who are working with women. In the aftermath of the ebola crisis and the recent floods that damaged the country, on top of the already existing scars left by a long war, Sierra Leonean women are particularly in need of support to grow their confidence and strengthen their role in society. project reportread updates from the field
