Talakondapally School Projects

To say 2020/ 2021 is challenging for schooling is an absolute understatement . However, I am pleased to say that the Talakondapally Zilla Parishad School has  reopened on the 1 st of February 2021 , and full fledged classes have begun . The capital projects which were planned for the primary and the main school have not taken place due to Covid situation , and I hope as and when the prevailing conditions improve , these projects will be taken up and completed in a timely manner.

We also have been providing full bursaries for the deserving students from Talakondapally to obtain College education for the last four years . We also pay the hostel fees for these students . Till , the December of  2020 these students were having remote online learning , and for this to be facilitated the charity purchased six smart phones. I am pleased to inform that the colleges have re opened now in the last week of January and students are staying in the hostel and attending classes in person .

Talakondapally School Projects

I visited Hyderabad the nearest city to the Talakondapally village for two weeks -  the last week of February and first week of March. We visited the Talakondapally Zilla Parishad School on three different days and spent approximately 6- 8 hours on each visit   . I along with my wife particpated in the Science Exhibition  on February 28 th which has been orgainised by the Staff and the students from 5 th - 10th Class . We interacted with the children whose projects included :Global Warming , Ozone Layer , Germination of Seeds , Solar System , Simple chemical experiments . I am filled with pride the confidence with which the students presented various experiments .

We conducted a mentoring camp at home for all the students whom we sponsor for their college education in Hyderabad , along with the Principal and teachers from the Zilla Parishad School . We were able to ascertain the aims and aspirations of the students . , and accordingly advised and guided them inorder to achieve their goals. We encouraged the students to speak up without any hesitation and fear of any problems they are facing in Hyderabad, and which were addressed accordingly .

On March 4 th , I visited the school for approving the renovation and remodelling of toilet facilities at the Primary school , which unfortunately has not commenced due to the Covid -19 Pandemic

The Schools have been shut from March 7 th onwards , and as yet the starting has not been announced .

I enclose some photographs from the above activites.
