Children who have been abandoned by their government, by their health care system, by other charities, and are dying at unprecedented rates. Critical congenital heart defects, just one of many rare diseases, kills at least 12 of these forgotten children every day. That's 4,385 children dying unnecessarily every year. The equivalent of the Titanic sinking... two times a year. Every year. If these children had been operated on as infants, as they are in America, they would be leading normal, healthy lives. But they were born in another part of the world. Their desperate parents watch as they slowly die - all the while hoping and praying for a miracle. RACF is the little-known American charity that helps save these children's lives and is the answer to their parents' prayers. RACF provides travel assistance, housing assistance, medical evaluation, hospitalization, surgery or other services needed to help Russian children with rare diseases receive treatment for their condition in America. RACF and leading American specialists assess each child's case individually to determine what financial support, logistical assistance, and coordination of services that child needs. RACF provides continuous follow up, emotional support, and guidance to help these families in crisis during their medical treatment and recovery in the U.S. RACF partners with well-known charities and hospitals across America including Ronald McDonald House, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, Boston Children's Hospital, and the California Ear Institute among others. RACF offers the first of its kind guarantee by any American charity. RACF guarantees that it will never transfer funds to any entity, foundation, organization, or individual based in Russia either directly or indirectly through other U.S. based public charities. All donated RACF funds will be spent in the United States or with U.S. based 501(c)(3) public charities who agree to adhere to this policy as verified on Schedule F, Part II of their annual report to the IRS on Form 990.
