Skyline School PTA is a child advocacy group, a fundraising group, an event planning group, and most of all, an active, fun organization that enriches each child's and each parent's experience at Skyline K-8. Skyline School PTA funds many important activities and projects such as field trips, library books, teacher classroom funds, the art program, class projects, the academic enrichment budget, technology, scholarship funding and many other essential aspects of life at the school. Skyline School PTA is also about volunteers who make a difference in the lives of our children. We are program leaders, event coordinators, reading buddies, art literacy participants, classroom helpers, computer specialists, field day coordinators, student activity helpers, field trip drivers and Scholastic Book Fair managers. Most of all we are parents, grandparents, and interested community members who want to make a difference, whether it is just for an hour or for several days. Skyline School PTA schedules community and family engagement events throughout the year to facilitate connections between the school and our families. Some events include Parent Education Guest Lectures, Cornfest, Literacy Night, STEM Night, Move for the Arts, Movie Nights (ongoing), and Carnival. Our PTA meets monthly throughout the school year to discuss projects and vote on budget expenditures. All are invited! Skyline School PTA also holds a number of fundraisers throughout the year including Family Nights Out at local businesses, the Scholastic Book Fair, cookie dough sales, Used Book Sale (funds our library), plant sale, Holiday Pop Up Shops (funds our backpack program and Giving Tree), Move for the Arts (funds our entire art program!), t-shirt sales, auction (the biggest fundraiser of the year run jointly with Skyline Foundation).
