Project BADLAAV is all set to embark on its journey by helping first 60 beneficiaries of our project through the funds received by the donors to Light up lives with the target to help 1000 women read and write. In the first phase of the project, we decided to focus on a couple of communities and after elongated desk and primary research, we have decided to adopt two locations as our target communities for this phase. One of the locations is in Allahabad, nearby to our pilot project location where the women have already seen the impact, and for the second location, we are expanding our reach to Alwar, Rajasthan.

Close to village Bhagwatpur & Kadilpur in Allahabad where BADLAVV during its pilot phase has already helped 90 women becoming functioning literate, is the location of our new center where a group of 30 women is eager to start their learning. We have started the enrollment process for these women, and are in search of the best place where the center can be opened. Simultaneously other important things that are required to open the center and keep it functioning are being arranged. Basic amenities like books, stationery would be provided by us to the beneficiaries. Meanwhile, our team is also meeting the family members of these women as we understand, that we need to take their family members as well on board so that these women can attend the entire course without any hassle. Before the monsoon hits the ground in the form of rain we have decided to start our classes i.e. in another 2 weeks.

For the Alwar in Rajasthan, our teams have visited 2 villages of the area which are among the most backward villages of the District. In both of these villages, our team has received a brilliant response from the women, and they seemed to be excited to light up their lives. We aspire to cover the whole area but our funds are limited as off now.

We know that it's a magical moment when Asha, Rajni or Rani write for the first time while holding a pencil in their hand and tell us at the end of our project that they can read and write.

Empower Foundation through Project BADLAVV aspires to spread this magic to more Asha's, Rajni's and Rani's and this can only be possible with the support of you and me giving our share in it.  We look forward to your constant support on this journey.
