Our commitment with transparency

From the very same day that our organization was conceived, we were clear and we have been during these two years, that transparency should reign in all our executions.

All of our transactions are recorded in digital password-protected programs that preserve their integrity while at the same time protects the privacy and confidentiality of the participants' information.

Regularly we sent reports to our donors with data, photos, and statistics of where and how their donations were used.  By doing this, they are aware of the financial details of our operations. In addition, we keep our webpage and social media networks updated on our missions and projects.

Thanks to this transparency, our donors can support our missions and projects with the confidence that their donations are used in the way they expect or require.

We reaffirm our commitment to the transparency that always is and will be our north.

Violence against women in Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico Rises urgently seeks to establish seminars, workshops, and classes that give women financial and social independence that allows them to support themselves and their family.

The socio-economic situation affecting our Island has triggered a rampant increase in gender violence.

As part of our offer, we want to carry out an in-depth study between the relationship of violent acts and the absence of women's education because they do not have access to the same resources, opportunities, and benefits that men have.

We are currently preparing the facilities where we can register 200 women to an intensive program that covers various areas. From self-defense to financial management.

Our goal is to start the registration process by October 2019.

It only takes a SSK to help thousands of families

The Solar Shelter Kits (SSK) have allowed Puerto Rico Rises to impact families living in serious disadvantages and provide temporary access to a safe home, filtered water and solar energy to cover their basic needs. By removing them from their fragile structures we then have the opportunity to rebuild or repair their homes, while the family is protected and cared for with the equipment provided by the Solar Shelter Kits.

Once we can return them to their safe homes, the SSK is removed and installed to serve another family. This allows us to increase the life of each SSK and expand the impact by providing dozens of families with the same unit.

By expanding our inventory and having more SSK we can impact thousands of individuals who live in deplorable conditions, improve their quality of life and at the same time reduce the impact on climate change.

Puerto Rico Rises was granted building materials for 200 houses. Many of them need to be demolished and completely rebuilt. By having the SSK allows us to remove the family to a safe environment while your home is rebuilt.

With your donations, we will be able to acquire more units and thus increase the number of families that, after 21 months of waiting, can return to a safe home.
