Rocky Point Bird Observatory seeks to influence and inform conservation and ecological management practises of migratory birds in western North America through monitoring, scientific research and public education. Birds are indicators of the state of the environment because they are sensitive to environmental changes and occupy a wide range of habitat. Rocky Point Bird Observatory (RPBO) is a conservation non-profit that has been operating for over 20 years. RPBO monitors the population trends, productivity and survivorship of songbirds on southern Vancouver Island through daily surveys and bird banding.
Each of GlobalGiving’s nonprofit partners is required to send quarterly donor reports detailing the impact of their work.
