Marine's support to refugee children

Marine's support to refugee children
Marine's support to refugee children

Dear donors and supporters,

Millions of people had to leave their homeland and look for a shelter in various countries because of the armed conflict in Syria. The main goal of this project is to help refugee children from Syria overcome this crisis and the ensuing challenges. Your support helps us to create a new life for them.

From the corresponding studies and research, it is evident that immigrant children and teenagers need to be involved in non-formal training modules, where they will be able to share their ideas, suggestions, work in a team, and look for solutions to their needs.

Those who survived the war are mostly children from Armenian families living in Syria. Our goal is to support those school-aged children and give them an opportunity to integrate into Armenian society. Those refugee children have many psychological problems, and working with them is our priority. We are implementing various processes to help them recover their lost knowledge and also integrate into Armenian society.

Dear Donors,

We would like to inform you that the names of all project participants were changed in order to protect their privacy.

We introduce you to Marine, who is the volunteer of this project:

Hi, I'm Marine. I have expressed a desire to volunteer for this program and help refugee children.

My role is to organize the educational materials that will help children in need. I am so happy to join this project, because every refugee’s smile encourages me. I think the second important step is to empower them to find a job in Armenia and forget the war. in Armenia, people love to say the phrase: "Let's create a new life with a new page." Today and every day, I am ready to use all of my knowledge and skills for this important process. I think that brotherhood and cooperation will be achieved in the near future.

Once again, thank you, dear donors, and remember that your every gesture is important for our team and our beneficiaries. We are more than happy to inform you about the measurable progress of this project.

Creative approaches in societies

Our new beneficiary, Gohar
Our new beneficiary, Gohar

Dear Donors,

Thanks to your important role and influence in this program, we continue to support young leaders interested in the issues facing Armenian communities.

Rural communities in Armenia have many problems that are varied. Residents are living in bad conditions. Nevertheless, a number of them are active young people who are frustrated by the current situation and leave home. Young people have a unique influence in society and our goal is to empower them. Project beneficiaries are regularly trained in modern technologies as well as civic journalism.

Young leaders of the community often refer to themselves as a “new generation of young experts” because the key to solving problems seems to be in their hands.

Thanks to your donations, we organized an interactive meeting in the capital of Yerevan. Through individual work, each beneficiary was given printed trees. They had to indicate problems in the community at the roots of the tree and indicate the consequences or impact of the problem on the branches of the tree. One participant mentioned that there were problems with waste collection and street lighting in his community. Then, he pointed to the stench of the streets and the risky traffic at night on the branches of the tree. This creative work helped beneficiaries visualize problems and their consequences.

Dear Donors,

We would like to inform you that the names of all project participants were changed in order to protect their privacy.

Your donations continue to support this active and entrepreneurial youth. Every gesture you make is important to the beneficiaries concerned.

We would like to present the history and message of one of our new beneficiaries, Gayane, to our donors.

Hi, I’m Gayane. I want to live in a society where people feel happy and safe. I believe that through this project our dreams will come true, and we will be able to just smile when we see our surroundings. We are young professionals interested in the community.

Thank you!

Development of beneficiaries' creative thinking

Children generating creative ideas

Dear donors,

Thanks to your donations, we continue to support school-aged children living in rural communities. In remote areas of Armenia, people live in extreme poverty. Parents work hard all day long just to feed their children. It is very difficult for parents to raise the educational level of their children and control it.

All of this, of course, has a negative impact on our target group, because they have to help their parents, perform various physical activities, and miss school. To prevent all this and motivate them towards education, we provide psychosocial support to beneficiaries.

Our team regularly organizes courses on non-formal education methodology, which empowers, educates, and supports participants. The children have the opportunity to interact with each other, get involved in teamwork, as well as restore school curriculum and knowledge.

Dear Donors,

We would like to inform you that the names of all project participants were changed in order to protect their privacy.

This time the meeting consisted of individual and team sessions. During the individual work, participants were instructed to write ten things that they do very well individually, in daily life, and ten things that they do well or will do professionally in their work. This provides an excellent opportunity for participants to understand their personal and professional skills and abilities. At the end of the task, everyone presented their work. During the teamwork, the participants were assigned a creative task. They had to portray on the shield the dream community where they would like to live.

This work encourages our beneficiaries to understand the type of prosperous and strong community, and how it can be achieved.

This is how our children are filled with enthusiasm and diligence. Remember that each of your gestures is very important to them. They keep smiling because of your support.
