KEEPING UP WITH LEARNING  (100 students participating)

  • Secondary School Students  (about 20 of them) self-organized curriculum materials,  The appointed leaders  laoid out the schedule and lesson materials for each learning session.  When they needed assistance they requested to hire an outside teacher from one of the area schools to come and provde a few lessons on that area of need.  Students learned that they can assist each other in learning.   The bond and support network they created has very high value for their learning future.
  • KEEP LEARNING: The 5 - 8 students learnied under the supervision of our paid paid staff.  They engaged not just in text book learning, but reading materials brought to the center and the Africa Story Book series which we installed on the laptops at the center, as well as provided some print copies.   The teachers did other actiivities like beading,  planting seeds, hair braiding and learning to do nails.
  • Children wrote stories about their experience of the Pandemic.   We will publish a few of thesee on the GG site.
