We started offering food assistance through Lend a Hand Bahamas in March 2020 serving a few hundred families and then a few thousand. As the need grew and unemployment skyrocketed in the tourism dominated country of the Bahamas, our organization stepped in to assist and is now feeding over 50,000 people weekly in Nassau. Through food parcels and vouchers we are supporting many of the most vulnerable in the country while also being sure to support those often neglected or forgotten including immigrants and the elderly. 

Moving forward we are continuing our critical food assistance programs as we also look to begin our educational support programs again especially targeting at-risk youth in our feeding program who do not have devices and will not be able to thrive in this necessary virtual learning environment being created.
