Mission

GEN, working in partnership with Indian ngo End Poverty, contributes to the elimination of poverty in remote rural villages in the Alwar District in Rajasthan, India. The under-pinning principle of our work it to empower villagers to take charge of improving life in their communities. This covers: out of school education of teenage girls, livelihood development including a handicrafts project for women, and support for development of more effective farming practices. At village level we work through village development groups.
