Animal-Kind International

To raise funds for AKI's partner animal welfare organizations in poor countries countries. Currently AKI has partner organizations in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, South Sudan, Namibia, Ghana, Armenia, Bosnia, Jamaica, and Honduras. Our partner organizations can use AKI funds for their priority animal welfare needs. This fills a major gap--there are so few possibilities for fundraising for animals in these countries, and any grant funding that is available is very limited and narrow. Mission

AKI is guided by the principles that animal welfare has no boundaries; and that improving conditions for animals goes hand in hand with improving conditions for people. AKI does the due diligence on our partner organizations to ensure funds go only toward helping animals; 100% of all donations to AKI go to our partner organizations.

Programs

AKI supports existing animal welfare organizations and their priority needs. We support only our partner organizations, and we track the use of AKI funds to ensure donations are only spent on animal welfare. We link donors to our POs. We fundraise for our POs by raising awareness of their needs and their achievements. We write articles, give presentations, send out newsletters, and we are active on Facebook and other social media, all with the intent of getting the word out about our partner organizations. AKI's support to our partner organizations has provided for a wide variety of their needs, such as purchase of dog and cat food; infrastructure renovations and development (roofs on the Save the Animals' shelter kennels and drainage at the shelter; fencing and improved kennels for Bosnia's Orasje shelter; a water tank, puppy kennels, and a cattery at Lilongwe SPCA's shelter; fencing and gates for Helping Hands for Hounds of Honduras's sanctuary); transportation costs to deal with cruelty cases; rent; salaries; humane education materials; and other critical needs of our animal welfare partner organizations.
