Mission

Houston Food Bank (HFB) is the largest food bank in the United States in terms of meals distributed and is a member of Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief charity in the nation. Established in 1982, HFB's core function is the large-scale distribution of food and select other products (such as personal hygiene and cleaning products) to nearly 600 partner agencies across 18 counties in southeast Texas, including the greater Houston area. These partner agencies in turn provide direct food assistance to individuals and families in need.
