Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project rescuing suffering animals. We are very happy that despite the difficulties we experienced due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic to local communities, we continue to take good care of our pets. We have a little difficulty reaching to far-flung villages but we still manage to support and educate pet owners about the need to take good care of their pets. This reporting period we are able to conduct educational meetings with 35 pet owners on the need to take good care of their pets. Hoping that we are able to source more support for this effort. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project assisting youth affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano. The eruption has caused displacement and untold suffering to so many families and during this time, this is being compounded by the Coronavirus pandemic and the loss of livelihoods and income to so many not only those living in Taal and vicinity but with the entire country as well. During this reporting period, we focus our assistance to promoting vegetable gardening among the youth as a means of improving nutrition in the household. We were able to reach-out and support 320 youth in this manner. We provided them with technical guides and vegetable seeds so that they are able to start their own gardening activities.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative feeding starving children. During our intermittent discussions and some meetings with local leaders we found out that children prefer commercial snack foods even if these are not readily available and expensive. We think that advertisements as well as the idea that anything not available in the locality is good contributed to this situation and during this reporting period we aim to change that behavior by the promotion of local food that are more tasty and nutritious than the introduced ones. For example the meat and water of young coconuts hold a lot of promise. Root crops too as staple and as snack food holds a lot of protential too. We will start with 2-3 common crops for promotion and hopefully children will learn to adopt this. We will provide report about this apprach in our next reporting to you. Wish us luck. Thank you so much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian
