They are planting right now

The rainy season is upon rural NE Uganda and the village natives are preparing the ground and getting ready to plant their spring crops. Many of them still prepare the ground by had with a simple hoe. With the tractor we were able to provide for our Ugandan NGO partner they are able to help more and more villagers better prepare the ground.  We are still wanting to purchase a couple more peices of farm equipment.  We would like to purchase a disc and a seed drill.  The crops that are raised are vital to the welfare of these dear people.  It keeps them alive.  Thank you for your continued support.  Covid has kept us from visiting Uganda.  Our August trip has been cancelled.  We are now planning on going in Januray.

Still going strong

Covid has really affected our ability to travel to Uganda and participate in the Goat Distribution Project, but it has not stopped our Ugandan partners.  They continue to purchase female goats that are pregnant and work with village leaders to select candidates to receive a goat.  The candidate must be a widow, an orphan, or have a handicap.  As funds are raised here in the US it is a simple process to wire the funds to purchase goats to our Ugandan partner NGO.  So don't stop giving!  We hope to be able to return to Uganda in January.  Out August trip has been cancelled. Thank you for your support of this truly life changing project.  I have personally seen the positive impact it has on the lives of the recipients.

More goats to be given this summer

If the Covid pandemic is over we hope to take a team to Uganda in August.  The purpose of this team is to spend time with the 120 students that we sponsor to attend boarding school. Whenever a team goes to Uganda we always start our time with a "goat distibution".  That is when we spend a day in a village and help to distribute pregnant goats to widows and orphans in the village.  It is a grea way for our team members to get first hand experience in rural village life.  It is a great time of celebration in the village, and everyone comes.  Local governemnt officials are usually there to clebrate with the villagers.  Our teams love this event.  We have given close to 1000 goats over the past 5-10 years.  It is your generosity that makes this project possible.
