Mission

RIPPLE Africa is a charity registered in England, Wales and Scotland founded in 2003 focused on education, healthcare and the environment in the Nkhata Bay District of Malawi. This is a predominantly rural area in which, like the rest of Malawi, over 80% of the population are subsistence farmers, and over half the population live below the poverty line. The ethos of RIPPLE Africa is to empower local communities to achieve a sustainable future by "providing a hand UP and not a hand out".
