It is success story of many of HIV children enrolled with us in recent time. One of them is Shiva a 5year old HIV boy with unfortunate demise of his mother with dreadful HIV disease.Single parent, the HIV father is alive but unable to feed him properly due to AIDS stage shortening his life span.He has a younger brother who is HIV negative boy who is taken care by family members.Even this boy had a narrow escape with disfigured face burnt marks as their home was set on fire by miscreants to “make them burnt alive”.This happening at home has compelled his father to hand over “SHIVA” to us.
At present , it is remarkable gesture to see him nicely living with other inmates. He is growing physically as well as getting mentally stronger each passing day at care home.He is attending the in house schooling regularly. The Global Giving supporter’s strength will keep fate of these children flourish as need of hour arises.
THIRD PROJECT REPORT [OCT –DEC 2012]
” Getting back to zero” theme of UNAIDS has been main focus for us. Still, care home has witnessed new admissions in 2012.”Out of them Paul Raj,HIV boy, case study is worth mentioning. He was brought from railway platform searching for food in dustbin after loss of mother with HIV.Balanced food & timely medicine has saved this boy from clunches of virus. On weekly basis he has gained weight & now happily attending classes within premises too. Also, eldest three boys are admitted in ITI college ,passing out from high school this year.
We share our humble request to continue supporting HIV children’s cause in India via DESIRE Society. The new care homes at Mumbai as well as Visakhapatnam are going to fill void created between HIV related issues & under-privileged community at need. The ongoing efforts along with GG will fulfill dream of our director, G Ravi Babu to have society devoid of HIV children.
Let's join hands together for HIV children's cause
