Trees for Kenya is a Non Governmental Organization registered in Kenya in the year 2012. The organization mission in Kenya has been; Restoration of degraded areas of forest lands with community members through tree planting activities; Planting of both indigenous and exotic trees with community members on farms for purposes of fuelwood, building materials, posts and shade; Support community members to plant trees which improve soil fertility and increase crop yield; Support community members plant fodder trees which increase milk production by 40% and meat production by 20%; Sensitize community members on the importance of conserving the environment; Train community members on application of various agroforestry techniques on their farms. Support school pupils to plant trees on their school compounds as well as supporting pupils to plant trees at home. Helping community members with energy saving stoves which reduce fuelwood usage as well as green house gases from the atmosphere.
