School start

Dear donor,

The 14th September marked the start of the school year in Romania. With over 1000 number of Covid cases on a daily basis, our concern is directed at the children we support.

Currently, all children in Romania are obliged to wear masks in school; maintain social distancing during classes and adhere to a new set of measurements to prevent infection with the new Corona Virus as much as possible.

At the same time, should we face a scenario where the number of cases go beyond 1 case per 1000 inhabitans; they will swap into a part online/part in school education.

For the children we support, moving onto the 2nd scenario currently seems like a mission impossible. They do not have the digital instruments necessary or the minimum of knowledge on how to use them.

That's why we make an appeal to you one more time to help us support orphans and disadvanatged children in need with tablets. Our goal is not just to equip them with tablets but teach them the necessary digital competences to be able to perform in school.

And we cannot achieve this without your help!

In the name of all the children that have not seen a tablet in their life, THANK YOU!

Sports one of the most affected areas

Dear supporter,

Unfortunately, these challenging times have made the most damage for sports both at national and international level. We believe that sports needs us now more than ever.

Romania is at the bottom of the list for the countries in Europe that encourage sports from a young age. That's why we consider that our children need sports, and rugby in particular as a team sport, to be able to develop into healthy and strong adults.

We are worried now more than ever that children will be driven away from their motivation towards rugby. We have not been able to do much for rugby through these times, aside from keeping these children motivated.

We have created Individual Training plans and kept in constant contact to encourage them not to lose their physical abilities.

Currently, the number of Covid-19 cases is on the rise in Romania which makes it even more concerning.

We remain committed to our goal of encouraging education through sports, especially rugby, no matter how hard it will turn out to be.

We thank you for your continuous support through these challenging times!

Challenging times

Dear supporter,

We are facing challenging times, and we are in this together. Unfortunately, the children we support are suffering most from this pandemic.

The majority of the children we support live in rural areas, come from economically deprived environments, with very little to rely on. They have been under tremendous pshychological pressure and we are continuously working our way through it with them.

Romania is still under constant pressure, with the number of cases on the rise. We are all still under a cloud of uncertainty for the future and these children suffer the most.

Currently, we have shifted our efforts into equipping our children with the neccessary digital tools to continue their education online.

We are now looking at the new school year starting on the 14th September, hopefully by then the number of cases will drop. Every town/city will decide how school will be conducted, depending on the number of cases at the time. The options available at the moment are: in shifts, reducing the number of students in one classroom at a time or part school/part online.

The main challenge at the moment for us is keeping a balance for these children, keeping them on track and motivated; and getting them ready for the eventuality of online education.

Therefore, we ask for your support one more time - to help us get them ready for school.

We thank you for your support so far - we could not have made it this far without you.
