Supporting the Education System in Sonora, Mexico

Ultra-durable One World Futbol's have started to arrive into Mexico as part of this Coaches Across Continents and One World Play Project collaboration. Cambodia is a country still feeling the effects of a devastating genocide in the 1970's. It has severe issues of income inequality which has led to many social and educational problems.

Soccer is very popular in Mexico. Around every corner there are children playing on the streets and dirt fields. They often use soccer balls which rip apart and can't be easily replaced. We have partners in cities across Mexico who give these ultra-durable One World Futbols to disadvantaged children and sports clubs in communities across the city. Using these balls saves them so much money and means they can play for months and years with just one ball.

One of these partners is FESAC Mexico (ISF). FESAC Mexico manage all of the PE teachers in the Mexican state of Sonora, a state with over 3 million people in the North West of the country. The state, on the US/Mexico border, has to address unique problems which often directly affect children such as immigration, conflict and drug trafficking. Thanks to this campaign the state doesn't have to worry about soccer balls and can focus their finances on other beneficial things for the children.

Coaches Across Continents partner with FESAC Mexico to to help their teachers educate children in schools across Sonora on topics such as drugs and alcohol abuse, conflict prevention and social inclusion. During On-Field training CAC helps them to develop a curriculum which is specifically relevant for the teachers and the children they work with. In a state which has high rates of gang violence, conflict and drug abuse this is imperative to improving knowledge, and understanding and encouraging solutions to difficult problems.

All of this impact is only possible thanks to your generous donations to the campaign. We greatly appreciate your support and desire to get One World Futbols to the communities and children who need play most. Anything you can do to create awareness about this campaigntelling your friends and family, sharing the campaign on your social media channels, etc.would help more youth in some of the most underprivileged regions. Once again, we thank you on behalf of these communities.

Cambodia Scores

Ultra-durable One World Futbol's have started to arrive into Cambodia as part of this Coaches Across Continents and One World Play Project collaboration. Cambodia is a country still feeling the effects of a devastating genocide in the 1970's. It has severe issues of income inequality which has led to many social and educational problems.

Despite the lack of international success soccer is very popular in Cambodia. Around every corner there are children playing on the streets and dirt fields. They often use soccer balls which rip apart and can't be easily replaced. We have partners in Phnom Penh who give these ultra-durable One World Futbols to disadvantaged children and sports clubs in communities across the city. Using these balls saves them so much money and means they can play for months and years with just one ball.

One of these partners is IndoChina Starfish Foundation (ISF). ISF run a school and education facilities for youth who otherwise couldn't afford to attend. They offer a great number of extra-curricular activities with one of their key components being sport as education. There facilities provide opportunities for children who otherwise wouldn't be able to play and learn on a day to day basis. Thanks to this campaign they don't have to worry about soccer balls and can focus their finances on other beneficial things for the children.

Coaches Across Continents partner with ISF to to help their coaches educate children in the school and community on gender equality, the environment and health and wellness. In a neighbourhood which has very high rates of disease, gender based violence and environmental issues this is imperative to improving knowledge, understanding and encouraging solutions to difficult problems.

One World Futbol's In Rio

Ultra-durable One World Futbol's continue to make it into Brazil as part of this Coaches Across Continents and One World Play Project. Due to the Olympics Rio de Janeiro has been the center of the worlds attention over the past 4 weeks and will continue to do so with the Paralympics coming up.

Soccer is so popular in Brazil that around every corner there are children playing on the streets and dirt fields. They often use soccer balls which rip apart and can't be easily replaced. We have partners in Rio de Janeiro who give these ultra-durable One World Futbols to disadvantaged children and sports clubs in favelas across the city. Using these balls saves them so much money and means they can play for months and years with just one ball.

One of these partners is Street Child United (SCU). They work with children who live on the streets in Penha- one of the most dangerous favelas in Rio de Janiero. SCU provide these children with opportunities to play soccer and attend educational sessions. Thanks to this campaign they don't have to worry about soccer balls and can focus their finances on other beneficial things for the children. In 2014 the SCU girls team won the Street Child World Cup.

Coaches Across Continents partner with SCU to help their coaches educate children in the favelas on conflict prevention, social inclusion, drugs and alcohol abuse and problem-solving. In a neighbourhood which has very high rates of violent crime, established drug gangs and tension this is imperative to breaking the negative cycles.

The Olympics highlighted incredible sporting achievements in Rio. This campaign has helped to create a sustainable legacy for the Brazilian communities which welcomed the world.
