Our main objectives: - To participate in defending alleged victims who have been falsely accused by pleading for their innocence, acquittal and freedom; - To consider the mental state of the alleged victims and their family members with regard to the suffering they may have endured and the effects this may have on their defense; - To inform Canadian public opinion (including Quebec) on cases of human rights violations; - To defend and promote the fundamental democratic values and principles especially, the presumption of innocence and the ban on torture; - To facilitate the dissemination of information that is objective in cases of alleged injustice; - To create a network of partnerships between Canadian, Latin American and European human rights organizations and to draw up a mutual agreement between these partnerships.
